  • Overview

    The ideal candidate will play a central role in conducting the Basic Plus training, and in proctoring various testing services. Candidates must have strong communication skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, and excellent judgment; be comfortable juggling tasks from the simplest to the more strategic. Must  be able to work productively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with a smile and an appropriate sense of humor.

    Responsibilities

    • Onsite trainer for Basic Orientation Plus.
    • Speak and make effective presentations in front of groups of people.
    • Ensure testing is done within ARSC guidelines.
    • Verify identification and explain training processes across multiple platforms.
    • Maintain a secure testing environment.
    • Communicate with internal technical support to investigate and fix technical issues.
    • Strictly adhere to company policies using careful judgment.
    • Maintain a professional and clean environment.
    • Serve as liaison and support to both internal and external customers.
    • Conduct trainee registration and check-in, issue photo-training cards.
    • Assist shared services departments by running miscellaneous errands.
    • Proctor classroom examinations.
    • Maintain training records and other related documentation.
    • Handle highly sensitive, confidential and non-routine information.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
    • Minimum of 1 year previous instructional/training experience.
    • Minimum of 2 years Petrochemical, Industrial, and or construction work related experience.
    • Must have hands on experience in using technology to improve work efficiency.
    • Must have exceptional writing and verbal communication skills.
    • Must have the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively with frequent interruptions and work productively in a fast paced, rapid growing organization. 
    • Must have exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
    • Must have good organizational skills, be detail oriented, and the ability to handle multiple priorities.
    • Must be flexible with changing job requirements as the team grows.
    • Strong customer service skills a must.
    • Must be flexible in work hours and days.
    • Must be able to work in a quiet focused environment.
    • Ability to complete all tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
    • Must have valid a TWIC.
    • Must have a valid VI driver’s license.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBLITIES: This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

     

    WORK ENVIRONMENT: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
