    JOB SUMMARY:

     

    This position is responsible for, but not limited to, providing clerical support to the Security Department.  The person selected will need to have strong communication and organizational skills to excel in the role.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Assist in processing badge request applications for new employees, residents, vehicles, etc. as needed.
    • Print badges
    • Maintain files for all badges and badge request applications.
    • Maintain records of all returned, expired and deleted badges.
    • Record and maintain log sheet for all temporary and permanent badges.
    • Controls access to the premises at all the entrance/exit gates. Controls access to restricted areas of the assigned premises. Screens and searches pedestrians, vehicles, and equipment that enters and departs the assigned premises.
    • Ensures consistent enforcement of company rules, policies, and procedures and adheres to same company rules, policies, and procedures.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

     

    • High School Diploma or GED.
    • Excellent written, verbal, and communication skills.
    • Ability to perform multiple tasks.
    • Must be proficient with the following Microsoft Office software applications: Word and Excel.
    • Must have excellent Customer Service skills
    • Possession of a valid U.S. Virgin Islands driver’s license.
    • Ability to work under stressful situations, adverse conditions, and meet deadlines.
    • Must be able to work all shifts as well as holidays and weekends.
    • Ability to respond to the facility on short notice for shift coverage and emergencies, if needed.
    • Prior law enforcement, military or industrial security experience is preferred.
    • TWIC card required.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    • Candidates must be able to work long hours and all shift schedules that may require up to twelve hours a day, seven days a week for extended durations.
    • Must be able to perform work wearing personal protective equipment including but not limited to rain gear, chemical protective clothing, safety harness, FRC coveralls, hard hat, ear plugs and safety glasses, etc.
    • Respiratory Protection Fit-Testing and Pulmonary Function Testing is required. Additional medical examinations, such as Fitness for Duty exams may be required per client guidelines.
    • Hearing and vision within normal ranges is helpful.
    • Candidates must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs, unassisted.

    Applicants selected will be subject to a background check. The successful applicant will be required to pass a pre-employment, drug and alcohol testing and job-appropriate medical testing.
