     This position is responsible for providing HR support in recruiting, staffing, and employee relations. This person will contribute and support key members of the HR department with various projects. This position involves high-volume duties that are work intensive and time consuming and highly confidential. This position will have contact with a variety of position levels, which requires strong interpersonal communication skills both written and oral.


    • Assist in the recruitment activities for Exempt, Non-Exempt, College Recruitment, and Student Interns positions to include posting jobs, and coordinating interviews on/off island
    • Ensure compliance to all company and regulatory policies and prepare reports for same and provide support to HR Manager in all activities
    • Provide support for generalist activities to include applicant and employee data management, creating presentations and reports
    • Coordinate employee pre-employment, onboarding and exit activities
    • Create interview itineraries for potential employment candidates and coordinate travel arrangements for on-site interviews
    • Prepare and maintain recruiting and employment data for reporting purposes as needed
    • Assist with new employee orientation and employee training activities
    • Serve as a liaison between other departments and Human Resources
    • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. Make recommendations, provide solutions, and assist with resolving issues as challenges arise
    • Assists with HR related special projects as required


    • A Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR or related field preferred
    • A minimum of two years as an Administrative or HR professional, preferably in a large organization.
    • The ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion in making recommendations
    • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, both written and oral, to deal with all levels of the organization as well as with employment candidates
    • Proficient with spreadsheets, database management, presentation and word processing software for reporting purposes
    • Strong computer knowledge especially in Microsoft software products (MS Office, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and Excel) required
    • Self-initiative and ability to organize, multi-task and prioritize work at fast pace under tight deadlines is important to expedite the simultaneous processing of Human Resources related issues and activities
    • Attention to detail and thorough follow-through is a must
    • TWIC and valid driver’s license.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.


    PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
