  • Overview





    This position is responsible for, but not limited to, all areas relating to financial reporting. This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements. This position addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including payroll, timely payment of vendors and consultants, general ledger preparation, financial reporting, year end audit preparation, financial reporting and support of budget and forecast activities. This position will have contact with a variety of position levels which requires strong interpersonal communication skills both written and verbal.


    • Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.
    • Assist with payroll process.
    • Complete Payroll Tax Reporting (Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly and Annual).
    • Prepare Franchise Tax and Gross Receipt Tax reporting.
    • Manage and execute Accounts Payables General and 1099 recipients.
    • Manage Accounts receivables to include collection.
    • Supervises accounting staff.
    • Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information.
    • Ensure the monthly Bank Reporting & Reconciliations are performed in a timely and accurate manner.
    • Monitors and analyzes department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resource while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
    • Advises staff regarding the handling of non-routine reporting transactions.
    • Provide training to new and existing staff as needed.
    • Responsible for benefits payments and payroll reconciliations.
    • Responds to inquires from other financial and firm wide manager regarding financial results, special reporting request and the like.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.


    • B.S. degree in Accounting or Business Administration with a concentration in accounting.
    • 5-7 years demonstrated experience in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles or a combination of experience and education.
    • 5 years of demonstrated experience in tax preparation and reporting (941-SS, 941-VI, etc).
    • Demonstrated knowledge of Accounting Theory, preferred.
    • Must be proficient in QuickBook Enterprise, Ascentis/Timekeeping Software, SAP, Etc.
    • TEAM player/ MUST work well with others.
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word software applications.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
    • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
    • Must have knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems.
    • Must have knowledge of federal and local financial regulations.
    • Must be able to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statement, and projections.
    • Must have at least 3-5 years supervisory experience.
    • Strong organizational and management skills.
    • Ability to see the big picture while focusing on the process and procedures necessary to produce deliverables.
    • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in work product.
    • Ability to meet and establish deadlines.
    • Flexibility and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
    • Experience in forecasting and budgeting.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player.
    • Must possess a valid driver's license.
    • TWIC card, required.
