  • Overview





    This position is responsible for, but not limited to, supporting daily treasury functions, cash forecasting, assisting with accounts payable backlogging, general accounting support and insurance claim support.  This position will have contact with a variety of position levels, which requires strong interpersonal communication skills both written and verbal.



    • Prepare and submit withdrawal certificates for cash requirement funding.
    • Prepare weekly cash forecasts required for project funding needs.
    • Maintain daily cash activity log and reconcile cash accounts.
    • Assist with researching accounts payable discrepancy items to reduce backlog
    • Support monthly financial close process.
    • Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information.
    • Monitors and analyzes department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resource while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
    • Advises staff regarding the handling of non-routine reporting transactions.
    • Documents financial transactions by entering account information.
    • Recommend financial actions by analyzing accounting options
    • Prepare special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
    • Maintain customer confidence and protect operations by keeping financial information confidential.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by manager.



    • B.S. degree in Accounting or Business Administration with a concentration in accounting.
    • 5-7 years demonstrated experience in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles or a combination of experience and education.
    • 5 years of demonstrated experience in tax preparation and reporting (941-SS, 941-VI, etc).
    • Demonstrated knowledge of Accounting Theory, preferred.
    • Must be proficient in QuickBook Enterprise, SAP, Etc.
    • TEAM player/ MUST work well with others.
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word software applications.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
    • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
    • Must have knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems.
    • Must have knowledge of federal and local financial regulations.
    • Must be able to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statement, and projections.
    • Strong organizational and management skills.
    • Ability to meet and establish deadlines.
    • Experience in forecasting and budgeting.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player.
    • Must possess a valid driver's license.
    • TWIC card, required.
